When we were first covering the syllabus at the beginning of the year I was really excited to hear we would be learning Blender and using it for our second project. I always see videos online of people playing with Blender and exploring its possibilities, and it was super intriguing to me. I have always wanted to learn the software and see what kinds of things I could create, so I have been looking forward to this project since the start of the semester. There's a whole other layer added to it when we go into Effect House, another software I have never used. I know it is used for TikTok, and while I am a frequent user of the app, I mainly use it for entertainment purposes rather than content creation. However, I have a friend who has created TikTok filters, and I genuinely never even thought of how you would go about creating one. I am very excited to learn though!
I'm planning on continuing to explore more with Blender on my own after the class is done, so this was a great way to first dip my toes into the program. It can get super complicated and confusing, and there is so much that can be created, so I'm glad this was the space I was able to start learning in. I really don't know what kind of filters I want to create. It would be fun to make something that is personal that I could send to my friends and family, and then also make one that I think others in general would enjoy.
